When we arrived at the Stevens Pass Ski Resort it was very cold and the snow was not falling. Stevens Pass was just a photo opportunity for me, however for my wife it was a blast from the past. This was the ski resort that her and her family came to each winter to ski the hills.
My wife and I got out to go explore. We walked, she reminisced, and I captured many photos.... including this one that just reminded me of a Norman Rockwell moment in the snow. Sometimes I just see things and I can't even explain why. Must be a sixth sense for me.
Anyway, my wife wanted to walk up the active ski hills to live her past active ski life. Now she could no longer ski due to her ack surgery. Soon a snow mobile with ski patrol chased us down and scolded us for being too far into where the ski bunnies were dashing down the hill. We high tailed it out of there with sincere apologies and continued finding interested winter landscape photo opportunities.
